Macquarie commits A$165m to ResetData's 2.85MW build

Macquarie Bank has signed A$165 million of senior bridge financing for ResetData's staged NVIDIA GPU purchases, in an announcement Centuria Capital Group (ASX: CNI) released to the ASX before market on 13 August 2026. Centuria holds 50 per cent of ResetData, a neocloud that sells GPU computing from machines it runs in Centuria and CDC facilities. The facility sits alongside the equipment finance ResetData draws from Dell Financial Services under a Centuria parent company guarantee.

ResetData also signed a master services agreement with CDC Data Centres for an initial 7MW, and Centuria secured 72MW of dedicated power generation units for delivery in 2028. Deployed capacity across ResetData's three sites is about 2.85MW, and the 3MW that would take the CDC allocation from 7MW to 10MW is reserved only until the start of September.

Fluidstack's NVIDIA chips secured Macquarie's senior debt

Macquarie Bank's Specialised and Asset Finance division sits inside the bank's Commodities and Global Markets business and runs about A$7.6 billion of asset finance and loans across more than 40 countries. It announced a GPU financing deal with AI cloud platform Fluidstack in April 2025 to fund AI labs across Europe, structured so that the chips themselves secure the senior debt, and closed it in a matter of weeks. In January 2026 it committed up to €117 million to AI infrastructure developer Polarise for the fit-out of an AI factory in Munich and further GPU projects in Germany and Europe. Centuria's release says the Australian facility supports staged NVIDIA GPU procurement and deployment across Centuria-owned and third-party facilities.

Centuria may provide contingent parent company guarantee support for the A$165 million facility, subject to customer contracting, senior debt refinancing and facility conditions. Proceeds from the group's June 2026 equity raising, which brought in A$300 million, will be used to support parent company guarantees associated with project financing arrangements.

Dell funds two deployments and Macquarie the third

AI-F1, which ResetData describes as Australia's first sovereign public AI factory, runs 0.7MW of NVIDIA H200 GPUs in a Centuria tower in Melbourne's Docklands and is targeted at 1.1MW once stage two lands. ResetData has ordered the remaining GPUs for that stage. The other two deployments use B300, NVIDIA's Blackwell Ultra generation, and one of them sits in an existing Centuria facility. All three target revenue in the second half of FY27.

CDC Data Centres, under the master services agreement About 2MW now, about 7MW targeted, plus 3MW under letter of intent B300, Macquarie bridge facility

Centuria's own development pipeline runs to more than 250MW, and about 7MW of ResetData's 10.6MW target sits in CDC's facilities rather than Centuria's. Centuria says customer enquiries continue to exceed ResetData's near-term sovereign AI compute capacity. Within one of its own data centres the group is accelerating about 10MW of capacity, with the potential to fast-track up to an additional 20MW, and an investment-grade corporation has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding covering about 2MW in a staged deployment inside Centuria-owned facilities.

CDC holds 3MW for ResetData to the start of September

ResetData holds an initial 7MW allocation under the master services agreement with CDC, about 2MW of which is already deployed, and GPUs have been ordered for a portion of the initial CDC deployment.

The letter of intent covers a further 3MW, and ResetData has under three weeks from the announcement to convert that reservation into a binding order form. Without one inside the window, the letter of intent terminates and the 3MW does not proceed.

72MW of generation units are due in 2028

Centuria has secured 72MW of dedicated power generation units for delivery in 2028, for a data centre development inside the group's 250MW-plus pipeline, with multi-site optionality that leaves the units untied to one site.

Centuria says fast-tracking the 72MW, together with the potential to accelerate a further 30MW of power capacity, brings deployment timelines forward by approximately two years and opens customer deployments in its data centres from early 2028.

The group will not proceed with the 13MW heads of agreement disclosed at its June 2026 equity raising, saying it identified alternative opportunities with greater scale and improved long-term economics. Discussions are continuing with third-party data centre operators about additional power capacity for deployment in 2027.

What to watch

The letter of intent. CDC's reservation of 3MW expires at the start of September 2026. A binding order form inside that window takes the CDC allocation to 10MW.

The FY26 results on 27 August. Centuria re-affirmed FY26 guidance in the announcement and will give a group update at its annual results on Thursday 27 August 2026, days before the reservation lapses.

The facility terms. Centuria has named the A$165 million size, the senior bridge structure, and senior debt refinancing as one condition of its contingent guarantee support. Tenor, pricing and the security package are still to come.

The generation units. Centuria has named the 72MW and a 2028 delivery year. The technology, the fuel and the sites will follow, and they decide whether the units sit behind a Centuria meter or add to AEMO's data centre connection queue, which held 9GW across 17 projects at 30 June 2026.
