  • Anthropic: Anthropic, the maker of Claude, has opened a Sydney office, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Australian Government, signed its first Australian data centre lease, at Zerra DC's Western Downs Digital Park in Queensland, and is reported to be seeking at least 1.4GW of Australian capacity.   • OpenAI: OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, has launched OpenAI for Australia and signed an MoU with NEXTDC to develop an Australian Stargate AI data centre in Sydney. (About AU$7bn S7 Stargate plan)
